Joanna King earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2014, launching her clinical career with a strong foundation in community-based and hospital-level nursing.
She advanced her training with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University in 2019, gaining full scope practice authority to diagnose, treat, and manage chronic and acute conditions in diverse populations.
In 2021, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in Healthcare Systems Leadership from Chamberlain University’s Downers Grove, Illinois campus. Her doctoral work focused on evidence-based protocols to prevent pressure injuries in long-term care facilities, reinforcing her deep expertise in wound care and post-acute clinical systems.
Joanna King is a triple-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Woundworx, The Foot Connection, and The Lymphedema Connection. With over 10 years of experience in post-acute, home-based, and facility-based care, she delivers advanced wound care, foot care, and lymphatic therapy services directly to patients across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia.
